mwbamwbqEpeiroides bahiensis mwbgKeyserling, 1885 è un mwbwragno appartenente alla mwcafamiglia mwcqAraneidae.

È l'unica mwcwspecie nota del genere mwdamwdqEpeiroides.

Etimologia

Il nome deriva dal mweqgreco mwegmwewἑπί, mwfaepì, cioè mwfqsopra e mwfgmwfwεῖρειν, mwgaèirein, cioè mwgqintrecciare e il suffisso mwggmwgwὀὶδα, mwhaòida, cioè mwhqsimile a, mwhgche somiglia a, mwhwche ha l'aspetto di, per le molte somiglianze all'ex-mwiagenere mwiqEpeira.

Distribuzione

L'unica specie oggi nota di questo genere è stata rinvenuta nell'America centromeridionale, precisamente in mwjaEcuador, mwjqCosta Rica, mwjgVenezuela, mwjwBrasile, mwkaPerù, mwkqColombia e mwkgGuyanacite-ref-araneidae-1-0[1].

Tassonomia

Apparentemente rimosso ufficialmente dalla sinonimia con mwmqAraneus mwmgClerck, 1757 solo nel 1945 a seguito di un lavoro di mwmwMello-Leitãocite-ref-araneidae-1-1[1].

Dal 2012 non sono stati esaminati altri esemplari, né sono state descritte mwoqsottospecie al 2014cite-ref-araneidae-1-2[1].

Specie trasferite

• mwqqEpeiroides albonotatus mwqgMello-Leitão, 1945; trasferita al genere mwqwAlpaida mwraO. P.-Cambridge, 1889, con la denominazione provvisoria di mwrqAlpaida albonotata (mwrwMello-Leitão, 1945); a seguito di un lavoro di mwsaLevi del 1988 ne è stata riscontrata la sinonimia con mwsqAlpaida truncata (mwswKeyserling, 1865) e ivi assegnatacite-ref-araneidae-1-3[1].
• mwuqEpeiroides lamprus mwugSoares & Camargo, 1948; trasferita al genere mwuwVerrucosa mwvaMcCook, 1888 con la denominazione di mwvqVerrucosa lampra (mwvwSoares & Camargo, 1948) a seguito di uno studio di Levi del 1989cite-ref-araneidae-1-4[1].
